Jeans for Charity Program Aims to Save Lives

ConServe Employees Have a Heart

Rochester, N.Y. – In February, the employees of Continental Service Group, Inc., d.b.a. ConServe, in conjunction with the company's "Matching Gift Program" donated more than $10,940 to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association in February.  Through its Jeans for Charity, a program in which ConServe employees elect to participate in monthly charitable donations in exchange for the option of wearing jeans to work for the entire month, employees not only gave back to their local communities but also provided funding for education and awareness efforts.  As an extension of their support, employees also participated in National Go Red Day® in which they were encouraged to wear red and adopt positive habits to live longer, healthier lives.

Marc J. Natale, Executive Director for the American Heart/Stroke Association, was particularly moved by ConServe's generosity:  "We are ecstatic at the level of participation from the employees at Conserve. We appreciate the emphasis they place on health and increasing awareness within this community.  This is just one example of how Conserve lives up to their philosophy of doing the right thing, at the right time, in the right way."

"ConServe is very committed to our employees and to our corporate employee wellness programs", remarked George Huyler, Vice President of Human Resources at ConServe.  "The overwhelming popularity of National Go Red Day® and the amount of employee engagement for this tremendous cause was both impressive and reassuring. These events create a healthier workplace while increasing awareness of the need for our employees to continue the battle against this life-threatening health issue that can affect any of us at any time".
