Educational Efforts a Priority at ConServe

Jeans For Charity Program Proudly Supports Literacy Programs

Rochester, N.Y. – The organizational mission statement of Continental Service Group, Inc., d/b/a ConServe, includes helping to improve the human condition.  Towards that goal, they created the company's Jeans For Charity philanthropy program:  Employees are given the option of contributing to a variety of charitable efforts throughout the year, different recipients each month, in exchange for the option of wearing jeans to work.  The organization's "Matching Gift Program" further supplements the team's generosity by matching the funds contributed by the employees. The program, started in 2008 as a way to support a wide range of community investment efforts, has current program donations exceeding $639K.  As ConServe President Mark Davitt often remarks:  "At ConServe, we take great pride in doing the right thing, at the right time, the right way."

The Jeans For Charity program recipients for April 2017 are the Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship of the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (ACA), the Rochester Education Foundation (REF) and the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!).

"Providing funding and support of educational opportunities for our youth is an effort that ConServe embraces wholeheartedly" said Stacy Bartl, ConServe's Public Relations Director.  "Helping members of our community pursue their goals and dreams, through the fulfillment of academic programs and fields of study, aligns with our corporate philosophy of helping to improve the human condition."

Patricia Braus, Executive Director at the Rochester Education Foundation, had this to say regarding her organization's gratitude for the support: "Thanks to ConServe for its generous support through the Jeans for Charity program. We will use ConServe's generous support to fund our initiatives assisting Rochester city students filling out their college financial aid forms through FAFSA Fest community events, and providing 10th grade college visits for Rochester students. Their support will also help fund our outreach and information provided to Rochester students concerning college opportunities. We appreciate ConServe's partnership in working to enable every qualified students to go to college, whatever their income level."
