Brightening the Season With ConServe’s Jeans For Charity

Hillside Secret Santas, Veterans Outreach Center and ROC the Peace Benefit From Employee’s Generosity

Rochester, N.Y. – The employees of Continental Service Group, Inc., d/b/a ConServe, take great pride in supporting their fellow man – especially during the holidays. In the hopes of making the holidays just a bit brighter and warmer for those less fortunate and/or facing particularly difficult challenges, the ConServe team was thrilled to provide significant funding to several local agencies that support and empower individuals struggling to overcome some heavy burdens.

The company raises funds to support a variety of non-profit agencies and organizations as part of a diversified community investment plan. Through their Jeans For Charity philanthropy program, in conjunction with the company’s “Matching Gift Program”, ConServe employees can elect to participate in monthly charitable donations in exchange for the option of wearing jeans to work.

In the month of November, ConServe donated to the Hillside Special Santas program, the Veterans Outreach Center, and ROC The Peace. “Support from committed community partners like ConServe play an invaluable role in advancing Hillside's community-focused mission,” said Cindy Odom, Interim Chief Advancement Officer, Hillside Family of Agencies. “We are grateful to the employees participating in ConServe's Jeans for Charity fundraiser who have made a tremendous impact on our Special Santa project, allowing Hillside to provide holiday gifts to thousands of children in our community.”

About ConServe’s Jeans For Charity program

ConServe’s Jeans For Charity initiative began in 2008 when the team’s employees had an idea to launch a program that would provide a way for the company’s mission of “improving the human condition” to coordinate with the organization’s commitment of giving back to their community. ConServe employees are given the opportunity to participate in monthly charitable donations, benefitting a wide-range of recipients, in exchange for having the option of dressing down and wearing jeans to work for the entire month. The funds raised by the employees’ generosity are supplemented by the organization’s Matching Gift Program - symbolizing ConServe’s commitment to good corporate citizenship. This ongoing initiative is just one of the ways in which ConServe supports varied and diverse community agencies. To date the program has donated over $812,000 to local community organizations.

About the Hillside Special Santas Program

Hillside Special Santa is the holiday giving program for Hillside Family of Agencies. This program benefits youth and families who receive residential, community-based, day treatment and/or customized services throughout New York State and the Greater Washington, D.C. area, who find themselves in need of assistance during the holiday season.

Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful donors, community partners and volunteers, the Hillside Special Santa program is able to collaborate with staff and families to provide 3 gifts to each of the youth receiving services, as well as any other children residing in that home. Visit them online
